Begin at Lake Sevan, one of Armenia’s most impressive natural landmarks. Surrounded by mountains and open skies, the lake offers a refreshing change of scenery and beautiful opportunities for photography.
Visit Sevanavank Monastery, perched high above the lake on the Sevan Peninsula. Climb the historic stone steps and enjoy panoramic views over the deep blue waters and surrounding mountains.
Continue to Old Dilijan, where traditional architecture, wooden balconies, and quiet streets create a glimpse into the character of this charming mountain town. Take a leisurely walk and discover the atmosphere of historic Dilijan.
From the town, head deeper into the forest to Haghartsin Monastery, an impressive medieval complex hidden among the wooded mountains. Its peaceful setting and centuries-old stone architecture make it one of the most atmospheric places in northern Armenia.
The journey continues to Lake Parz, a small forest lake surrounded by lush greenery. Away from the larger tourist sites, it is an ideal place to slow down, enjoy nature and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
End the day at a local Deer Farm, where you can see deer in a natural forest setting and learn more about the conservation and care of these beautiful animals.

Sevan Lake
Lake Sevan is a large, high-altitude lake in eastern Armenia. It's known for its beaches. Set on a narrow peninsula, the Sevanavank Monastery has 2 stone churches dating to the 9th century. To the south, Hayravank Monastery overlooks the lake from a rocky outcrop. Noratus Cemetery has hundreds of carved stone khachkar memorials.

Sevanavank is located on the peninsula of Sevan. In 305, it was founded by St. Gregory the Illuminator, who built the church on the place of a pagan temple. In the 9th century the princes of Syunik made Sevan a point of their suppurt. In 874 the wife of the Syunik prince Vassak and the daughter of the king Ashot Bagratuni – Mariam built here two churches – St. Arakeloc and St. Astvatcatcin.

Haghartsin Monastery
Haghartsin monastery is a spiritual and cultural center of medieval Armenia, located 12 km from Dilijan, surrounded by thick woods, beautiful landscapes. It is considered to be a unique example of architecture and nature harmony. The Haghartsin monument is located on a plateau surrounded by forested mountains, far beyond the settlements, with remarkable architectural value monuments and over hundreds of inscriptions, which contain rich material on the socio-political history of medieval Armenia.

Lake Parz is a small lake located in the Dilijan National Park east of Dilijan in Armenia. The lake was formed by natural climatic changes. In 2017, the Transcaucasian Trail was created to connect Parz Lake with the town of Dilijan and in the opposite direction with Gosh village and Gosh Lake.

Since 2013, the International Wildlife Fund in Armenia has been implementing a program to restore the population of the Caucasian red deer (Cervus elaphus maral), which is carried out in the “Caucasian Reindeer Herding Center” built in the Dilijan National Park, by releasing deer born in the nursery (up to 20 individuals imported) Red deer, absent from the highlands of Armenia for many years, returned to Armenia in 2018. Eight people were transported from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia as part of the Caucasian deer relocation program. The deer were taken to Dilijan National Park, where a reindeer herding complex had previously been built
